The Definition...

A few months ago, I was searching for new music on the internet and networking with a few people across a social networking site.  While on my search, I ended up on an associate’s page and found out that she was working with a talented young female singer that has been making waves across the industry.  I found out this associate of mine graced the stage on a very popular cable program (of course, I missed the performance seeing as how I don’t watch much TV, much less the network they appeared on).  I watched a clip of the performance and I must say, I believe she earned the attention she has garnered this year is well deserved.  The self-proclaimed “Bad B”, which ironically is the title of her club-banging single, is poised to gain some national notoriety.  If I were you, I would make myself familiar with the name, Taronica.

Raised in Dallas, TX, Taronica Reed was born with a God-given ability to entertain.  As a matter of fact, it would seem that it runs in the family, because she is related to actress Shanequa Reed.  Taronica started singing and performing at a very young age and has worked very hard to hone her skills.  But if you thought she would limit herself to singing and dancing, you thought wrong.  Taronica is a proven triple threat, adding songwriting to her list of credentials.  Taronica’s presentation as an artist only becomes more impressive when you find out her vocal prowess is backed up by her ability to pen her own hits.  The Lancaster High School graduate is going to have plenty of stories to tell when she goes back for her reunion.

Taronica is a young woman hard at work these days.  She has been performing all over the place promoting her hot single “Bad B.”  She has performed everywhere from Kwanza Fest to the Plano Amphitheater.  Her biggest performance to date was on the popular show on BET, 106 and Park.  This past March, Taronica appeared as a contestant on the “Wild Out Wednesday” where she got the opportunity to show the world exactly what she’s made of.  With so much attention being focused in the direction of Dallas, TX, “Wild Out Wednesday” was the perfect chance to show that she is one of the most impressive talents in the DFW.  While her strong, independent woman’s anthem “Bad B” is available on iTunes and Amazon.com, Taronica is releasing her new mixtape, The Definition of a Bad B.  With her new release, Taronica is ready to stake her claim as the top female R&B diva coming from the heart of Texas.

Taronica has had a very impressive first half of 2010.  Making all the right appearances in all the right places, she is setting up her pieces on the board to make her move.  The world might not be ready for this “Bad B”, but Taronica is coming and she is most definitely ready for the world.
