Mozez Tha Great
A.I.M. (Anti Industry Music)
I’ve been rocking with the Elite Representatives camp for a couple of years now. Besides being a down to earth group of people, they’re one of the few camps in the DFW that refuse to come unless they’re coming with the heat. I’ve been patiently waiting for the release of this project from Mozez Tha Great; now it’s here and he hasn’t disappointed. Anti Industry Music is a 15 track banger featuring guest appearances from Drama Tha King, B-Mo, Iris and Reign.
On the introduction track “The Real”, Mozez puts the game back in it’s proper perspective over a hard-hitting, energetic track. Another heater is “You & Me” featuring B-Mo. “You & Me” finds Mozez pealing back another layer, baring his thoughts and feelings towards his love interest; complimented by the fact the smooth instrumental and B-Mo’s vocals are a like match made in musical heaven. On “Go Hard”, Mozez and Drama Tha King team-up and lyrically pulverize the high-octane track, cooking-up another underground anthem. Next, on “Against The Grain” Mozez draws the line between himself and the lame industry rappers after the money and the fame. On the last track, “New Beginning”, Mozez superbly displays his introspective side while spiritually examining himself. Other stand-out tracks on A.I.M. are “My Addiction”, “Independence Day” (a salute to the independent labels and artists) and “I Am Who I Am”. Overall, A.I.M. (Anti Industry Music) is a good effort. Mozez The Great delivers a well-balanced project with no stone left unturned. It doesn’t matter what your preference is when it comes to rap music, Mozez found a way to cover all the bases without any single track sounding out of place. Like I said, when Elite Representatives come, the bring heat with them; and this time was no different. ER remains one of my favorite camps in the DFW area.
